Auditions are scaryI have been performing professionally for over 30 years and have had my share of auditions. They can be intimidating. You basically have 2 minutes to show them who you are and why they should choose you, over hundreds of others, for their play, movie or school program.
Most directors want to see you do well in your audition. They know you are going to be nervous and often chat a bit first to help you relax. But there are only so many roles in a production or spaces in a program, so even good performers don't always make the cut. (If you go to an audition and those at the table are jerks, and you don't get the part, you are probably better off.) The key to a good audition is preparation. Preparation instills confidence and allows you the flexibility to roll with whatever surprises come your way. |
Audition prep coachingWhether your audition is for theatre, musical theatre, requires a video or improv, we can help you prepare.
